Helping children learn good sleep habits at a young age is important to their total physical and emotional well-being. In this two-hour training, parents of infants and toddlers will learn the importance of regular sleep in their child’s life and the negative impact that poor sleep habits play in children’s lives. They will also learn effective strategies for helping their infant or toddler learn to accept bed time as a part of the daily routine with the long-term goal of them being able to fall asleep willingly on their own. Training date to be scheduled

Disciplining your toddler or two-year old can be very challenging. Your sweet little baby has grown to be a lively toddler and is starting to exert his/her independence. Often, a toddler’s strong feelings are expressed through tantrums and power struggles. What is a parent to do? In this two-hour interactive training, parents will learn how to handle “the fussing and the fits” by learning about what typical toddler behavior looks like, ways to avoid engaging in power struggles, and how to set up your toddler and yourself for success as you travel through this developmental stage together. Dinner and free childcare are available.

No training dates scheduled at this time.

Infants come into the world with their own preset temperament. As children grow to be toddlers, we find that some of these traits can be challenging to deal with. In this two-hour training, parents of infants and toddlers will learn about the different temperament traits, the challenges and strengths that each presents, and how to respond to these displays of temperament in a way that will be helpful to the child and to the relationship. Dinner and free childcare are available.
